Cannot do a Back up on Windows 7 64 bit

I have windows 7 64 bit and I cannot do a backup and it always fails.
Says error code 0x81000033 and says there is not enough space.
Trying to back up to my HP personnel media drive which is 2TB and the files on my c drive are 300GB.
Was told CA suite
was the problem so I removed it.
Still the same problem.
I have just beed doing a copy and past now to save my files in a different location.
