I am trying to create a criteria range that will be used by multiple routintes.  It needs to look for a beginning and an ending date value that can be changed based on the routing being executed.
 
I can get it to work if I have the following:

OrderDate      
OrderDate

>01/01/00
<=12/31/11

 
But I dont want the dates hard coded.  I want them to be >STARTDATE and <=ENDDATE where STARTDATE and ENDDATE are stored in different cells.
 
So I want something like:
Orderdate              OrderDate
>startdate              <=enddate

If start date is in cell K1, you can use the formula
=">"&K1
If you have assigned the name STARTDATE to the cell with the start date, you can use the formula
=">"&STARTDATE
