I added a button to the worksheet from the Developer ribbon (Insert/...).
It is now on my worksheet, and has been associated with a macro.
However, I want to change the backcolor of the button because the default ivory is too close to the white page background.
I right-clicked and tried the 'format control' menu, but button color isn't listed.
I also pulled up the properties tab (from the properties
button on the developer ribbon) but it just shows the sheet properties, it does not show the button properties even when I select the button.
This was so simple in XL2003, what is the trick in XL2007?

Which type of button, I'm guessing it's from the form controls and in which case you can't do much.
Use an Active X button and click 'Properties' and you can easily change the colour and assign your macro.
