AOL Desktop 9.6 won't work after updates

AOL 9.6 won't open right after Windows 7 updates were downloaded and installed.

I did a system restore 4 days ago to undue these updates and my AOL 9.6 would open and work fine just like before.

Today, again, Windows 7 downloads  automatic updates and right after I can not open AOL 9.6 again.

I've read some fixes that pertain to Norton and their free 60 day trial that suggest it is a firewall problem.

However, I have Kapersky.

How do I fix this problem for good?

If the issue resolves, then you might need to uninstall the antivirus software and reinstall it back or change the settings and check.
Note: Make sure to enable the security software on the computer after checking.
